Social media has a huge impact on our lives. How many of us wake up in the morning, and the first thing that we do is check our phones, looking at FaceBook, or maybe Instagram, to see what's been going on in the night and if anyone has messaged or DM'd?! If I go out of the house and I've forgotten my iPhone, I must admit that I do feel a little bit lost without it, and I'm the first person to admit that I find that dependency a little bit 'sad'!
I have set up all of the main social media channels that I like to use as 'nilipod' accounts, and I try to keep them as up to date as I possibly can. Instagram is one of my favourites and I post pictures on there every few days or so, both on my personal account and the @nilipod account.
On FaceBook I list the latest news and treat this page rather like a blog, advertising competitions and writing about my favourite YouTube videos of the moment, as well as anything making headline news that is just plain ridiculous. I'm not really sure if you would class YouTube as a form of social media, I guess it can be, so I've included our YouTube channel on this page, because it seems to fit in so nicely with everything else.
I find it great fun to try and engage people on Instagram, FaceBook and YouTube, and I am genuinely so happy when somebody follows, likes or subscribes to the page.
